Drive through the capital city Roseau to the Botanical Gardens and up the lush and verdant Roseau Valley.
There will be stops at scenic locations until we reach the village of Laudat, From Laudat we take a 15 minute walk to the Ti Tou Gorge which is one of the most unique places on the island.
The name Ti Tou Gorge is Creole and means 'Little Throat Hole',
literally we will swim up the 'throat' of a mountain to a waterfall located inside the gorge.
This gorge was formed many thousands of years ago and is fed by the Freshwater Lake.
The formation of the rock walls on either side, through which we swim are intricate and breathtaking, this place is truly one of the wonders of Dominica.
After the gorge we walk back to the vehicle and proceed to the spectacular twin Trafalgar Falls.
It is a 15 minute walk from where the vehicle stops, to the viewing area of the falls, those who are able to, under the supervision of the guide can scramble over the boulders to the base of one of the falls where there is a great pool for more swimming.
After the falls walk back to the vehicle and return to base.

The trail passes through a 950 acre oceanic rainforest within the Morne Trois Piton National park,
enroute the guides will explain about the rainforest trees and the wildlife.
Upon reaching the waterfall there will be an opportunity to swim in the crystal clear pool at the base of the fall.
After a refreshing swim hike back to the vehicle and drive to the village of Laudat where a 15 minute walk takes us to the Ti Tou Gorge, one of the Isalnd's most unique places.

Drive along the West Coast to Portsmouth, then take a rowboat trip up the Indian River, which is so called because the Carib Indians at one time lived on the higher ground up the river and used it as a route to the sea.
The vegetation along the banks of the river is dominated by intricately buttressed Mang trees {Pterocarpus Officinalis}
you are likely to see herons, kingfishers and sometimes iguanas.
The rowboats go up until the river narrows, there they stop and you get out take a walk, or go to the bush bar to have one of the many varieties of rum punch or feresh fruit juices.
The river trip takes one to one and a half hours.
Next head into the interior to visit the Milton Falls, the walk form where the vehicle stops is about 30 minutes, first passing through banana fields, then criss crossing the river until we arrive at another of Dominica's beautiful and spectacular waterfalls, nestling under the canopy of the rainforest.
Taking a refreshing dip in the pool at the base of the fall is an option which is seldom not taken advantage of.

Return to the vehicle and drive to the Syndicate rainforest located at the foothills of Morne Diablotin the highest mountain on the island. This is an area where it is most likely to see the island's two endangered parrots the Sisserou and the Jacquot, the Syndicate rainforest has well maintained trails which pass through some of Dominica's best easily accessible oceanic rainforest.
The forest is abundant with trees like the giant Gommier (Dacryodes Excelsa) the incredibly buttressed chataignier (Sloanea Carabea) numerous epiphytes and stranglers.
We walk through the forest and talk about trees then go to the look out points from which the parrots are usually seen.
This is an adventure and educational tour which gives information about agriculture, vegetation, rainforest and wildlife

Drive through the Botanical Gardens and the lush Roseau Valley to the Trafalgar Falls, form where the vehicle stops it is a 15-minute walk to the viewing area of the spectacular twin waterfalls.
The more adventurous, under the supervision of the guide can climb over the boulders to the base of one of the falls and swim in a pool which was designed for just such an occasion.
After the falls return to the vehicle drive through the capital Roseau and along the west Caribbean coast, turning inland up the Imperial Road, through the Antrim Valley to the Emerald Pool, one of the island's beautiful waterfalls within the rainforest Morne Trois Piton National Park.
From where the vehicle stops it is about a 15-minute walk through the rainforest to the Emerald Pool which is so called because it reflects the greenery of the surrounding vegetation, those who wish to will be able to swim in the pool at the base of the fall.
After the Emerald Pool return to base.
Time 3-4 hours
La Riviere Blanche (The White River) which begins in the Valley of Desolation and is also fed by the Boiling Lake, creates the magnificent Victoria Falls.
The hike begins in the village of Delices about one and a half-hour's drive from our base, this hike is a series of criss crossing the river up the river gorge sometimes scrambling over large boulders until we get to the waterfall. The milky look of the water is a result of the many sulphurous minerals mixing in the water,
this water is said to be very healthy for the skin, swimming is an added bonus!
Time 5-6 hours
This is another of the island's truly beautiful waterfalls; it is created by the Sari Sari River.
The hike begins in the village of Laplaine about one hour and fifteen minutes drive from our base, hiking to this waterfall is similar to going to Victoria Falls, criss crossing the river and scrambling over boulders; lush rainforest flank the ridges as you trudge along.
The pool at the base of the Sari Sari falls is crystal clear and invites you for a rejuvenating swim.
Time 4-5 hours
